All-Clad Stainless Saute Pan The Stainless line of cookware has been the leader of the pack for the All-Clad company since their start in the 70's. Professional chefs and restaurant kitchens have been using these pots and pans for that long, and over the years the reports have been overwhelmingly positive for the quality and durability.

This 3-quart saute pan would be considered a classic example of the line. Please don't call this a fry pan. The term is "saute". As well as sauteeing, this pan would be useful for simmering a sauce and especially, reducing liquids due to the large surface area. The large loop handle will come in handy for maneuvering the heavy pan when full.

This pan, as all the cookware in the line, is comprised of three layers bonded together for maximum cooking effectiveness. Interior of 18/10 Stainless steel, polished, durable and stick-resistant; Middle layer of thick aluminum for heat conductivity which extends up the sides of the pan; and exterior layer of heavy magnetic Stainless Steel. The magnetic feature is promoted to be ideal for use on induction cooktops, although it will work equally well on standard electric or gas.

Another versatile feature, the cookware can be used in the oven as well as the stovetop. The handle makes it easy to carry the full pan to the table for serving, and as with the rest of the All-Clad line, these carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
