With the touch of a button, the freezer drops temporarily to its lowest setting, keeping frozen food frozen and rapidly chilling items just added. A counterpart system offers the same rapid chill feature for the refrigerated side of the machine, but with a base temperature above freezing.

Alarm systems notify you politely if a door does not properly close, and special settings are available for energy saving during daily use and minimal operation while on vacation. All controls and settings are accessed via the LCD panel and input keys above the water and ice dispenser. Since that may be a tempting toy for young children, controls are easily locked to prevent any unsupervised changes.
