CorningWare SimplyLite Bakeware Set The new CorningWare SimplyLite line won Best In Category in the Cookware and Bakeware category at the 2009 Housewares Design Awards. This CorningWare SimplyLite line is made from durable Vitrelle glass laminate- chip resistant and dishwasher safe.

The eight piece set includes a 2.5 quart casserole dish, a 1.5 quart square dish, a 2.5 and 1.5 quart serving cradle, two plastic covers, and two glass covers. The glass of this set has a nonporous surface which means food will resist sticking to the pan and odors and stains will not stay with your dishes. These dishes are made in the USA. SimplyLite bakeware comes with a three year warranty.

While the plastic lids are not safe for the oven, all pieces with this exception are safe for the oven, microwave, freezer or refrigerator. The bakeware is also dishwasher safe.

CorningWare has a long history of quality and these new dishes highlight the reason they have become such a recognized name. Surprisingly easy to clean by hand, these pieces also store well, stacking within one another to save space. I must note that deep in the CorningWare site, there is a warning against stacking dishes of the same size and shape together as they can stick and may break on separation.
