The Cuisinart Chef's Classic Hard Anodized Skillet has 3mm of hard anodized aluminum. Its surface is dense, nonporous, and very resistant to wear. The hard anodized layer is harder than stainless steel. The interior of the pan features Quantanium nonstick coating, which contains titanium reinforcement, so even metal tools are safe to use on the interior of the pan. The nonstick coating is built to last, to give effortless food release over the long term. The pan also contains a pure aluminum core between the nonstick and hard anodized surfaces, bringing excellent heat distribution to the construction without annoying hot spots.
The slope of the sides combined with a wide, flat bottom make this perfect for pan frying, sauteing and browning. The pan is designed to make it easier to turn and manipulate food while maximizing cooking surface. A tapered rim yields drip free pouring. The riveted stay cool handle is made to balance well and provide control when flipping or tossing foods. The pan is oven safe to 500 degrees, should be hand washed, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
This pan allows you to cook with no oil or butter. Though metal tools are allowed, care should still be taken with the nonstick surface.
