Cuisinart Pro Classic Food ProcessorIt all comes down to perspective. Which is more important to you: time-saving tools or the feel of dough in your hands? Do you have a dream set of knives that make slicing, dicing, and chopping a breeze or would you be better off with a machine that does it all for you? Would you rather spend your time cleaning a grating disc and all the necessary food processor parts needed for grated Parmesan or would you rather use your hands to grate the cheese yourself?

Like I said, it all comes down to perspective. If you'd rather have a machine do it all for you, then this may be the machine to do it. The Cuisinart Pro Classic comes with a 7-cup work bowl, steel blades, a dough blade, a slicing disc, and a shredding disc. Two feed tubes accompany the processor, the larger of which will hold an entire potato. And with the pulse setting you can control how fine you- or rather the machine- chops onions or purees garbanzo beans. There's a cookbook and a 30-minute video to help you learn how to use the machine. Plus it comes with a five-year warranty on the motor and a three-year warranty on the entire unit.

Now, you can call me old-fashioned but I like to feel my food before I eat it. I like the smell of garlic on my finger tips after I chop up a couple cloves, and I like the feel of biscuit dough between my fingers. I want to remain an integral part of the cooking processing, to be something more than just the button-pusher. But that's just me. For others, the Cuisinart Pro Classic could be a time-saving, slicing, shredding, chopping, mixing dream come true.
