This is a quick and easy way to add a new twist to your spaghetti dinners. You don't have to use spaghetti, either -- use whatever pasta variety you'd like. If the sauce seems too thick, add some extra milk a little at time until you reach the desired consistency.
Ingredients:
- 8 oz. spaghetti, broken in half
- 3 C small broccoli florets
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese with garlic, chives, and onion
- 1 C milk
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. cooked chicken, chopped
Directions:
Cook the spaghetti in a large saucepan as directed on the package. Add the broccoli to the spaghetti during the last 3 minutes of cooking time. Drain well and set aside.
Place the cream cheese, milk, and pepper into the same saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring almost constantly, for 5 minutes or until smooth. Stir the pasta and broccoli into the sauce. Add the chicken and stir until blended in well. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until heated through. Makes 4 servings.
