2009-epicurean-classicThe organizers of the 2009 Epicurean Classic have just released the names of the featured celebrities and chefs scheduled to appear during the event.

The Epicurean Classic is held in the Great Lakes region of the U.S. in St. Joseph, Michigan, where foodies and wine connoisseurs convene each year to sample the latest and greatest in culinary variety. This year's festival boasts a new partnership with KitchenAid as well. Festival co-founder Mark Dressler says he hopes that the new partnership will help make the event more accessible while promoting the KitchenAid brand and its cooking tools.

Featured artisans and chefs at this year's Epicurean Classic include: restaurant owner and James Beard catering invitee Eve Aranoff, award-winning "Diva of Desserts" Rose Levy Beranbaum, Italian chef and teacher Giuliano Hazan, tamale expert Mary Sue Milliken, former Food Editor of "Martha Stewart Living" magazine Andy Pforzheimer, and best-selling BBQ cookbook author Andy Schloss, among several others.

Guests attending the festival will be able to sample an eclectic variety of food, cheese, beer, and wine in the daily Tasting Pavilion. Other noteworthy events to consider are the Guest Chef Dinners, the non-stop cooking demonstrations (over 45 to choose from), and the Great Lakes Great Wines BBQ Reception which commences the whole event.

The 2009 Epicurean Classic is scheduled for August 28-30 on the Bluff in St. Joseph, MI. You can find a complete list of activities and appearances on the event's official website.
