The Food Network is looking for outgoing families that have competitive Thanksgiving culinary traditions to compete in a holiday-themed "Food Network Challenge," winning a grand prize of $10,000.
Former Food Network Challenges have involved cakes, pastries, chili, BBQ ribs, and even small-town cookoffs. A hit on the network's lineup is the spinoff series "Food Network Challenge: Last Cake Standing." During the program, professional cake decorators competed for the title of "Best Cake Artist in America," sculpting exquisitely modern and beautiful cakes entirely from edible materials.
During the Thanksgiving Challenge, the competition will take place amongst families. The reality show is looking for teams that have an inspiring story to be thankful for, as well as a special Thanksgiving meal tradition that is unique to each family. Professional chefs are discouraged from applying for the show.
And the winning team will take home a nice prize to be thankful for as well: a cash reward of ten thousand dollars.
Filming for the Thanksgiving Food Network Challenge will take place during the end of June, so those interested in applying for the show should contact High Noon Entertainment sooner rather than later.
