GE Energy Star Refrigerator GE's Energy Star Refrigerator Freezer incorporates simple older freezer concepts and modern refinements in an efficient 25.8-cubic-foot appliance. French style double doors lined with storage pockets open to give full access to deep shelves and crisper drawers.

Controls and icemaker are inside the cabinet but easily accessible -- the water filter lasts approximately six months and is mounted in plain sight for easy service. Shelves are adjustable to accommodate tall containers and maximum use of space.

GE's ClimateKeeper system provides adjustable humidity settings for each compartment, separating the air flow to each so the different requirements of freezer and refrigerator sections are constantly met. The full-width Freshness Center produce drawer has its own humidity controls with high and low settings that adjust vents for the needs of different types of produce.

Still hanging on to the incandescent bulb lighting method, GE has improved this older design with full illumination of the interior and bulbs emitting the true daylight spectrum. Food colors are accurate when viewed under GE's Reveal lighting. You'll be better able to judge freshness under Reveal light.

The drawer-style chest freezer traps cold air even when the compartment is fully open, increasing energy efficiency and giving full access to frozen storage.
