Next year marks the 25th anniversary for kitchen knife masters Global Cutlery. And to celebrate the occasion, the company has just released a limited-edition cutlery range complete with a knife block set, a three-piece Asian knife set, and the singleton Anniversary utility knife.
The knife block set contains a cook's knife, two different sizes of santoku blades, a utility knife, a flexible utility/slicing knife, and the coveted Anniversary knife. They're all contained in a sleek and modern stainless steel knife block, paper-thin and emblazoned with the number "25."
The Oriental 3-piece set consists of a larger Asian chef's knife, a slanted santoku, and of course the Anniversary knife as well. Ordering the lone utility knife also comes with a commemorative lapel pin.
As many professional and home chefs know, Global is known for manufacturing knives with equal parts Japanese tradition and modern excellence. Each knife is held to these standards, manufactured from high-quality Japanese stainless steel that is extremely lightweight but still very, very sharp. The blades come in their trademarked full-tang style, and are branded with the Global anniversary date, 1985-2010.
