Seems like karma might be finally catching up to celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay -- or that's what he's afraid of, at least.
The Michelin-starred chef revealed today that he has a phobia of going out to eat in other people's restaurants. He is ever mindful of the kitchen staff he has upset throughout the years, and isn't sure if any of them might be working in a restaurant he visits, or if they would want to exact a little revenge of their own.
When he goes into a restaurant as a paying customer, the following thoughts bombard his mind: "First of all, nothing happens for 45 minutes so you sit there going, 'Here we go. What's going on?' Then you sort of wonder if it's a chef seeking revenge. 'Is my starter going through the dishwasher three or four times or are they stamping on it for revenge? Maybe they're putting all bits-and-bobs in the dressing.' You never know."
Earlier this month, Ramsay got another cut on his self-esteem after having lunch with "American Idol" mogul Simon Cowell, who started prodding Ramsay's cleft chin and said "Mate, you've got to do something about this." Ramsay has since credited Cowell with a spur-of-the-moment Botox chin procedure.
