It's just been announced that the hit show from across the pond, "MasterChef," will be making its debut on American television sometime next year.
The "MasterChef" series is a hugely popular hit in the UK and Australia. It's similar to other shows such as "Top Chef" and "Hell's Kitchen," but instead of finding the next great pro chef, Gordon Ramsay will be on the lookout for the next great amateur chef. It features stay-at-home moms, neighborhood masters of the barbeque, and those co-workers who always have the most delicious food to offer on potluck day. You know the ones.
The Fox network has placed an initial order of 12 to 15 episodes thus far. Fox executive Mike Darnell is excited for the new show, saying "A huge reality format that works great in other countries, plus Gordon Ramsay, guarantees success. Gordon is like our CSI."
Gordon Ramsay's One Potato Two Potato is teaming up with production company Reveille, who have already mentioned that they will likely be using the Australian format of the show as a starting point. Further details have yet to be announced.

Some fact checking wouldn’t go amiss, Gordon Ramsay has nothing to do with the BBC show masterchef in the UK. What has happened is Fox has bought the rights to the show format and have chosen to front the show with Gordon Ramsay.
