Grilled Turkey Sandwiches w/ Overnight Marinade

Posted by

The marinade for these turkey sandwiches is absolutely delicious... but it takes at least 8 hours or so to marinate thoroughly. That's why I'm recommending to prep and blend the marinade the night before, and let the meat soak in it overnight. Making the sandwiches will be so much easier the next day!

Ingredients:

  • Hamburger buns
  • 1 pound turkey tenderloin
  • 2 tablespoons onion, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Directions:

Blend all ingredients, except turkey, together in a shallow dish. Add the turkey, turning it to coat both sides and then cover and place in refrigerator overnight to marinate, turning occasionally. When ready to serve, grill the turkey for 8-10 minutes per side. Turkey is done when no pink remains in the center. Slice and serve on hamburger buns with any additional toppings desired (lettuce, etc).
