guy fieri rock culinary tour 09Today, press reps from Guy Fieri's production company Knuckle Sandwich announced plans for a food tour unlike anything the public has ever seen before. The "Rock & Roll Culinary Tour" plans to change the way we think about going to see a cooking demonstration by making it more like a rock concert.

Fieri and his crew will be traveling the road inside tour buses, stopping at 21 American cities along the way and performing at venues which hold between 2,500 and 5,000 people. Elements from his three Food Network programs ("Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives," "Guy's Big Bite," and "Ultimate Recipe Showdown") will provide plenty of fodder for a two-hour show.

Each show will feature a local chef before Fieri takes the stage, along with a flair bartending performance by Australia's Hayden "Woody" Wood. The entire show is unscripted and promises "a wildly entertaining performance with interactive cooking stations, demos, behind-the-scenes stories from the road, and more" according to today's PR release.

Guy Fieri says that his new show has been tested in a few smaller cities prior to the full-blown tour, and that the response has been overwhelming. "The adrenaline is through the roof!" he says. "Putting on a show for my fans that marries food and rock & roll with blow-your-mind entertainment is a dream come true."

The "Rock & Roll Culinary Tour" begins November 17 in Lowell, MA, and ends December 17 at The House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV.
