Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver will be in Huntington, West Virginia, next week at the downtown Pullman Square. He'll be hosting a live Cook-a-thon for his upcoming ABC reality series, which is being produced by American Idol's Ryan Seacrest and is expected to hit the airwaves sometime in 2010.
Oliver's aim for Tuesday is to get at least 1,000 people cooking. To accomplish this, he's encouraging fans, friends, and family to come to Pullman Square and learn how to cook up some fabulous dishes. The event is free and open to the public.
The Cook-a-thon will be held on Tuesday, November 3. Cooking sessions start at 2:00 p.m., and last for 30 minutes each. The sessions will end at 6:00 p.m.
However, reservations are required in advance, due to an overwhelming popularity anticipated for this event. Those who want to participate can email 1000peoplecook@gmail.com or call 304-942-7171 to check availability.
