KitchenAid Porcelain Tea Kettle You won't miss this teakettle sitting on your stovetop. KitchenAid has come out with a line of very vibrantly colored kettles, and this is probably the most popular hue. It looks like a big ladybug in your kitchen!

This teakettle has a plentiful 2-quart capacity, and the lid is removable for filling. The red enamel coating is a heavy baked on finish applied over 18/10 stainless steel, so should prove durable and long lasting. The spout features a whistle - a loud whistle - that is mounted on a hinge for easy one handed pouring. KitchenAid topped this with a substantial handle on top; also stainless steel with heat resistant silicone inserts for a comfortable grip.

With a triple-ply base, this tea kettle promises to heat water fast and evenly. In fact it is recommended to use a medium heat rather than high under this so as not to heat up the handle unnecessarily. Also, wait a moment after the water boils before pouring out to prevent splattering of the water as it comes in contact with the much hotter spout. There have been reports from some users that under ordinary use the stainless steel handle becomes uncomfortably hot. This may be due to a high burner setting or steam escaping from under the lid. One good thing is the degree to which KitchenAid stands behind this product -- one year "Hassle Free" replacement warranty, and lifetime limited warranty on defects after that.
