Gen Art and SoyJoy partnered together to provide ingredients and themes to the Battle Of The Best Eco LA Chefs competition, a live show intended to help educate attendees how to include healthy foods into their diets while providing an equally healthy dose of entertainment.

Each chef was requested to use soy in each part of their meal, creating a soy beverage, a savory dish, and a dessert.

Judging the competition were Hollywood actress Julianne Moore, celebrity chef Akasha Richmond, dietitian and author Kate Geagan, chef Joanne Weir, and PHD nutrition instructor Connie Guttersen.

Additionally, well-known author and food spokesperson Dave Lieberman from the Food Network's Good Deal with Lieberman hosted the live event. He summarized the evening well by saying, "The Battle of the Chefs is a good way to incorporate soy into our lifestyle, and soy itself is healthy fats -- full of vitamins and minerals -- and best of all it can be prepared to taste like both meat, chicken and fish."

Three eco-chef finalists were selected for the cook-off finale: Robert Danhi from Danhi & Co., owner of Clean Plate Meals Chef C.C., and Chef Andrew Kirschner from Wilshire Restaurant. Kirschner won the competition, and walked away with the Grand Prize title as well as $15,000.
