This set is made of aluminum. Let's start there. Many people get professional results using aluminum. They are sturdy but lightweight and, for the most part, provide an even temperature distribution. But I find them difficult to clean. It may be me -- maybe I'm not greasing them well enough. My friend who is an awesome baker tells me that she only bakes on aluminum. No fancy nonstick or insulated sheets. Jut heavy aluminum. The trick: parchment paper.
This three-piece set is a great deal and the cake pan and baking sheet are two great pieces. They are covered by a lifetime warranty, too?-that always communicates a high level of quality to me. It's a particularly nice set for a mall kitchen or the person who only bakes occasionally and doesn't need to invest in a lot of different pieces.
And I love the lid. It fits both pieces. And it makes it easy to transport baked goods as well as keep your leftovers fresh. What a cool little extra!
