These four events, called "Musical Suppers," will pair a classic performance by the NY Philharmonic with a gourmet dinner created by a celebrity chef.

Alain Ducasse will headline the first event on January 8, 2010.  Following his lead are Jean-Georges Vongerichten on February 12, Lidia Bastianich on April 16, and lastly Daniel Boulud on June 4. Hosting each event is renowned food critic Mimi Sheraton. Members, featured guests, and executives of the NY Philharmonic will be dining at the same event as well.

New York Philharmonic President and Executive Director Zarin Mehta hopes that this collaborative event series will help solidify New York City's cultural prestige even more. “To follow the musical artistry of a New York Philharmonic concert with a culinary encore created by masters of their profession is a unique pleasure that one can only experience in New York.”

Host Mimi Sheraton agrees. “Chefs are the maestros of the kitchen, and there is a natural kinship between the aesthetics of great music and great food. I hope that those who share a love of music and a love of food will find their way to our Musical Suppers.”

Tickets for each Musical Supper are $150 in addition to concert admission. For more information, visit nyphil.org.
