It'll be easy to help get your kids into the St. Patrick's Day festivities with these easy-to-make mint chocolate chip sundaes. To really bring out the tradition, add two or three drops of green food coloring.

Want to spice the recipe up a notch from the kids' level? Try adding a shot of Bailey's, or even peppermint schnapps. Then it'll feel like St. Paddy's Day no matter when you make it.

Ingredients:

  • 5 scoops vanilla bean or French vanilla ice cream
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 drops peppermint extract
  • Canister of whipped cream
  • Peppermint candy, crushed
  • Chocolate sprinkles
  • Cherries

Directions:

In a blender, mix ice cream, milk, syrup and extract. Blend until thoroughly mixed. Pour into milkshake glasses, preferably pre-chilled. Top off with whipped cream, candy pieces, sprinkles and a cherry.
