Presto CoolDaddy Deep Fryer Fried goodies are the ultimate comfort food. There is no reason to deny yourself the occasional fried treat, and the modern fry machine is the best way to enjoy frying without coating the entire kitchen in oil and filling the house with its stale aroma. As much as I love a night in front of the television, sharing a big plate of fries, I loathe waking up the next morning to the smell that permeates the house.

While this model may not have the extensive feature list of an Emerilware, it has more than enough to get the job done. Thankfully, the CoolDaddy includes a charcoal filter, a cool touch exterior to prevent burns, and the parts of the device come apart for easy cleaning.

When I was a girl, my mother's method of frying involved the grease pot. This was a pan dedicated solely to frying items. I never saw grease poured out of it, just added in. We never washed it. It remained hidden from view inside the oven so it wouldn't offend company. I shudder to think about that pan and what we ate from it, year after year. It didn't kill me, but it became one of the things I swore to myself would be different when I had a kitchen of my own. With the CoolDaddy, there is no shame.
