Scripps Networks Interactive has just announced plans to roll out over 20 new shows to air on Food Network, Cooking Channel, and Travel Channel. Some shows will begin as early as this week, but most are slated to premiere during the 2011-12 season.

Starting May 5, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse will premiere a new series on May 5 called The Originals With Emeril. The episodes will follow Emeril on a journey across the country as he pays tribute to his favorite establishments that helped shape the culinary history of America.

Country music superstar Trisha Yearwood will be taking her talents from the stage to the kitchen in September with a new series scheduled to air on Food Network in September. Yearwood has previously appeared on Food Network alongside Paula Deen and is already a cookbook author. An official name for her new series has yet to be confirmed.

Food Network has also announced a new reality series featuring two of television's most recognizable culinary hosts: Guy Fiery and Rachael Ray. The show is aptly titled Guy vs. Rachael and is described by the hosts as "a culinary version of Dancing with the Stars." The show will premiere later this year; no dates have been announced yet.

Blog and cookbook author Ree Drummond (at right) of From Black Heels To Tractor Wheels has signed on to a new Food Network series as well. As "The Pioneer Woman," Drummond will give viewers a steady glimpse into her life as a ranch owner and comfort-food cook in Oklahoma.

Adam Richman of the Travel Channel's Man Vs. Food will be starring in a broadened version of the show, titled Man Vs. Food Nation. This time around, Richman will view video clips sent in from fans across the nation, and he'll then choose which destination he wants to explore.
