LagasseStadiumThis month, in entertainment-central Las Vegas, famed celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse took a new approach to gourmet dining and opened a sports bar, called Lagasse's Stadium.

But it's not just any sports bar. This is what one would imagine if they put the concepts of "Emeril" and "sports bar" together. It's state-of-the-art in the areas of both technology and gastronomy.

Over 100 flat-screen HDTVs in Lagasse's Stadium can bring up just about any college or pro sport available for viewing. And it's appropriately named, due to the stadium-style plush seating inside (which seems like it could cater to Lakers fans with its purple/gold motif). Those who want to can reserve private box seats ahead of time.  Billiard tables, casino games, and an outdoor patio complement the setting.

The restaurant is part of a fairly new hotel on the Vegas strip called the Palazzo. Several well-known culinary artists have also made contributions to the Palazzo, such as Wolfgang Puck, Mario Batali, Charlie Trotter, and Peter Woo.

Fans of Emeril's can expect some of his favorite game-day creations on the menu, including some New Orleans classics as well as twists on American bar-food staples. “I’m happy to team up again with our friends at the Palazzo to create the ultimate sports establishment," said Emeril. "At Stadium, we’ll be serving serious food for serious fans.” And the Stadium's slogan says it all: "Bar, Book & Bam!"
