Coastal American fans of the TV reality series "Top Chef," which airs on the Bravo network, may have already visited Scala's Bistro in San Francisco a time or two. The restaurant is home to former Season 5 contestant Jen Biesty, a talented chef whose elimination from the show came as quite a surprise. Many expected her to stay longer than she did.
And on Sunday, Scala's Bistro will allow Biesty to show off her skills in an all-out "gala of the female chefs," so to speak. She will welcome another former "Top Chef" contestant, Stephanie Izard, to help cook and serve each patron a collaborative five-course meal.
Chef Stephanie Izard is the winner of "Top Chef" Season 4, as well as the recipient of the Fan Favorite $10,000 award during a reunion episode. She is currently the owner of an upscale eatery in Chicago called "The Drunken Goat."
Currently, the courses on Sunday's menu have not been revealed. But any meal served by two Top Chef contenders (one being a champion) is sure to please any palette.
The meal will be served at 6 p.m. on May 31 at Scala's Bistro. Guests can expect to pay $65 for the dinner as well as an optional $35 for a custom wine pairing to complement the meal.
