The fifth anniversary of the Fabulous Food Show will be headed to the American midwest this November. And as in years past, its lineup is studded with celebrity chef star power.

Headlining this year's Fabulous Food Show in Cleveland are TV personalities Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis, Guy Fieri, and Michael Symon. Symon appears Nov. 12 and 14. Fieri and Brown appear Saturday, Nov. 13. De Laurentiis appears Nov. 14.

Additionally, the last event  is the first of its kind appearing at the festival. Symon returns to host the inaugural "Cleveland Culinary Challenge," in which three well-known local chefs will compete head-to-head in a "Top Chef"-style competition. Each chef must prepare an appetizer of their choice, a "Surf & Turf" entree, and a dessert featuring Ohio apples within a given time frame. Competing in this year's "Challenge" are Dante Boccuzzi of Dante, Jonathan Sawyer of the Greenhouse Tavern, and Steve Schimoler of Crop Bistro. The judging panel has yet to be fully determined, but each judge will be testing each dish for outstanding creativity, taste, and presentation.

“To add a little spice to this inaugural event, each competitor may bring one Sous Chef and one Celebrity ‘assistant’, which will most likely be a sports or music celebrity,” said Eric German, executive show director.  “The winner of the competition will receive a commemorative Fabulous Food Show gift signed by all the celebrity chefs.  This event will be highly entertaining and, best of all, it will benefit CARA and Autism Speaks.”

The Fabulous Food Show 2010 will be at the I-X Event Center in Cleveland, OH during November 12-14. Tickets go on sale first thing Monday morning at fabulousfoodshow.com.
