Celebrity chef and Emmy-winning talk show host Rachael Ray is searching for the next great burger chef.

According to Ray's magazine, "Every Day With Rachael Ray," three finalists will face off on Ray's show to compete in this year's Burger Bash, a main event which Ray herself will host during the 2011 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival.

Finalists were chosen based on magazine readers' nominations, selecting their favorite burgers from independently owned restaurants across the country. The three finalists are Paul Malvone of Boston Burger Company, Tommy Up of Philadelphia's PYT Burger, and Mauricio Oliveros of Long Island's Frank-N-Burger.

The winning finalist from Ray's show will then compete for the chance at receiving three distinguished awards at the South Beach Burger Bash along the likes of Bobby Flay, Spike Mendelsohn, Masaharu Morimoto, Michael Symon, and Jose Garces. The most prestigious award is the Amstel Light People's Choice Award, which will be given to the chef who made the "Best Burger" according to popular vote by the audience. The Heinz Best Dressed Burger will go to the burger with the most innovative toppings, and the Allen Brothers Golden Grill Award will be awarded by a judging panel of the culinary elite.

The semi-finals competition will air January 13 on "The Rachael Ray Show" and will be judged by both Iron Chef Michael Symon and "Every Day with Rachael Ray" editor-in-chief Liz Vaccariello. The Burger Bash will take place February 24 in Miami, FL.
