The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced its nominees on Thursday for the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

This year, the "Top Chef" franchise earned a total of five nominations. "Top Chef" is competing against "American Idol," "Dancing with the Stars," "Project Runway," and "The Amazing Race" in the categories of "Outstanding Reality Competition." In fact, these five shows have been nominated in the same category for four years in a row.

Both "Top Chef' and "Top Chef Masters" received nominations for "Outstanding Cinematography in a Reality Competition" for their episodes "Vivre Las Vegas" and "Masters Get Schooled," respectively. The "Vivre Las Vegas" episode also secured a nomination in the "Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming" category.

The series also credits Bravo.com for an "Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media - Nonfiction" nomination. Also nominated in this interactive category are The Jimmy Fallon Digital Experience and The Biggest Loser Digital Experience, both from NBC.com
