The 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards was telecast on Sunday, June 27th. Several culinary celebrities had received nominations and waited anxiously for potentially good news. After the ceremony ended, some emerged victorious -- and some left empty-handed but were glad for the thrill of a nomination nonetheless.

Winner of "Outstanding Culinary Program" is Giada de Laurentiis for her series "Giada at Home." This series was chosen over "America's Test Kitchen," "Gourmet's Adventures with Ruth," and "Tyler's Ultimate."

Winner of "Outstanding Culinary/Lifestyle Host" is Ina Garten, achieving the title for the second year in a row. Other nominees in this category included Bobby Flay, Paula Deen, Giada de Laurentiis, and Martha Stewart.

Losses this year were multiple for Rachael Ray. Her daytime series "Rachael Ray" lost to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" for "Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment." She was also nominated for "Outstanding Talk Show Host," yet Dr. Mehmet Oz received the Daytime Emmy for his work hosting "The Dr. Oz Show."

This year's Daytime Emmys were held at the Las Vegas Hilton and hosted by Regis Philbin, with special guest appearances and performances by David Copperfield, Barry Manilow, and the Blue Man Group, along with the casts of The Lion King, Jersey Boys, and Cirque du Soleil. Soap opera creator of 45 years Agnes Nixon was given a Lifetime Achievement Award, and the event also honored TV veteran Dick Clark with a special tribute.
